Key Books
Key Books and Authors
This section lists some of my key influences… for my science, my writing and my activism. It is very far from complete. I have so far done little more than note the names of some of the key authors and organizations. I do provide links to some of the key resources but this is definitely not a full bibliography.
Whole Systems & Cybernetics:The concepts and principles of whole systems and cybernetics emerged, not only from within those fields, but as a rich interplay with ecology, biology, chaos and complexity theory, neuroscience, and modern physics (to name only the ones with which I have a passing familiarity).
Nonviolence: This category might usefully be subdivided into spiritual / ethical works and works that are concerned with the practical, political aspects of nonviolence. The politically oriented works are often referred to under the banner of strategic nonviolence.
The Movement: There are huge numbers of books that might be listed here. I mention only a few that have been particularly important to me.
